“If money were the only criterion by which a child’s welfare can be gauged, then a baby bought for as much RM40, 000 on the black market would seem set for life. For money rich but child-poor couples, it is a small price to pay to introduce a small life into their home. The cot is gilded, the blanket monogrammed, the college fund filled to the brim. All that’s wanting is a bun in the oven. And where there is a baby-for-sale racket, money can indeed buy happiness. And after all, why not?” (NST, March 3, 2013)

This particular topic seems to be a serious issue nowadays as money rich people tend to buy a baby through black market. Whatever the excuse is, people should not involve in black market. From my point of view, I could really say that I am totally disagreeing with the above statements due to my firm reasons. For this particular topic, I am going to discuss my disagreement for the money rich who got involve in buying children from the black market.
First and foremost, there are another ways or alternative for a those couples to have a baby. Money can’t buy anything that we want. Having money doesn’t mean you can do everything that you want. People who are money rich can’t use their wealth to buy baby from the black market. From my point of view, why they need to buy the babies from the black market and throw a numerous amount of money as they can get it from a child adoption ?

Generally, how do we indicate the happiness itself? Do you think wealth can replace the happiness between the babies and his family? Looking at this as a whole, it has been considered that money is not a medium that can assure the availability of happiness, by buying the baby. As for me, I think money jcan’t buy the happiness but if we have money, the happiness will come to us.

In conclusion, I remained disagree with the statements above that saying money can buy happiness. It’s all about the greed. Money and greed tend to blind other people in order to have something for their own benefits.
