Stereotyping is exaggerated generalizations associated with a categorizing system, they go beyond the facts at hand and make claims that usually have no valid basis. However, it is also something that most people find difficult to avoid from doing. What do you think?

Stereotyping is occurring when we offer a hasty generalization about a group based on a judgement about an individual from that group. At first, people who are stereotyping will categorize other people into groups based on a variety of criteria. Age, race, occupation and physical abilities are some of the criteria that could be judging bare some of the criteria that could be judging by the stereotype people. Basically, people will judge based on what they see. When they observe people from other group, they exaggerate or overestimate those people. In Malaysia there are lots of judgemental people we could see. Nowadays, we could see people in our own country tend to be a stereotype person as they keep judging or being judge by other. For instance, Malay is a race that always being falsified regarding to the social illness as some of them were involving on the cases. Child abuse, drug addict, and illegal racing are some of the social illness that Malay people seems to involve in. Somehow not all of them were involving in those particular cases. That is what we called stereotyping. Another example is people who are doing business well are Chinese. Yes I do agree that in Malaysia there are lots of Chinese people are really good in doing business. But somehow not all of them are doing well in their business. So, stereotype sometimes can be good or bad and it depends on how people view on it. It is a process on how we view people or people view us.
